BAPI expands its projects

As president and founder of the Bureau of Artistic and Postal Integration, it pleases me to announce that this institution will be funding two new projects:

1. The Object Project:

A project whereby keepsakes fly in mid-air in search of new homes. They bring with them the good news of their own precious history as well as a variety of options for where they might next make their home.

2. The Thank You Project:

A project whereby this institution's founder thanks those institutions (be they artists, musicians, podcasters, yogurt-makers) that so aid her in what she does. Both of these projects may make their way onto Kickstarter in the coming months, that I might crank mailings up to eleven.

e-mail me (or "snail" mail me---preferably) for more information

A change!

Ok gang--there has been a change.

1. There is not longer an end date to this cyclical project. Forget May 8th, 2010.
Why...?
I had the chance to visit a number of BAPI members last winter and witnessed first hand the little niches cycling work and carved into members' hearts and homes. The idea of tearing these art pieces from their new found homes made me reassess the project.

2. When members contribute work, they should label it one of two ways:
Type A: Work to be closely tracked and eventually returned.
Type B: Work made to be freed, let loose onto the BAPI community. No need for return.

I do plan to create some sort of collection or documentation of this project--I'm not sure in what form and when.

If you're reading this and you are a member, please update any address changes or interest changes, via mail or in the comment box bellow...

If you are reading this and are not a member, please send something to the PO Box bellow--it is current.

All current members should have received a letter in regards to the grand BAPI shift, just let me know if you have not--I will correct this travesty immediately .

Good Day, sirs and ma'ams

Be not afraid

Please please please, know this: ANYTHING GOES (except bodily fluids). Words, paint, pencil, legos. Also: it is OK if all you do is receive (no time to contribute). I simply want to encourage you to tell other people you think may be interested, and also send work back so it may continue to rotate (unless you do not wish to part with the piece until the end of the project)....

Alright?

Rules-ish (emphasis on the ISH)

Ok, so I realize the below attachments are almost 100% illegible. Here are the rules: to be a member say "I want to be a member". Write it on a napkin, skywriting is cool too. Just let me know you're on board. What happens when you're a member? Your address is kept on file at our headquarters. IT WILL NOT BE GIVEN OUT TO OTHER MEMBERS. BAPI acts as a hub between members, in order to maintain privacy and also keep track of the art coming through, so no pieces go missing. As a member, you will receive art mailings of a various media from all over the country (don't have any international members yet). As a member, you are welcome and encouraged to send your own art to BAPI, at ANY juncture. NO pressure, you don't have to send art to receive!!

The one caveat as far as the art you receive goes? You must mail any art you receive back to BAPI by MAY 8TH 2010. At that point, the art will be collected and displayed in a show (the location of which has yet to be determined). After the show, art will be returned to its creators. Any art is welcome, the definition of that term is left to you. Music, writing, collage, paintings, cool coins. We just as that they not be super heavy in order to ease circulation and its cost. What was that address, one more time, again?

The below passages may seem involved and a little confusing. Don't worry: the numbered sections of the below passages are a bit unimportant. The important bit is having members logged and the art circulated logged. That's about it. It's anything goes here, people. I just want to get as many interested and excited people involved as possible, period. And that means you!
